Teeth fillings?
First, it is very important to brush and floss all of your teeth every day, including the ones with fillings. Proper care is important to prevent new cavities forming and the need for more extensive dental treatment down the road. You can always call your dentist if you are concerned about the pain you are experiencing.

If you are having pain in your newly filled teeth when you bite down, it may be that your fillings are too high and need to be adjusted, or smoothed down a bit. This usually requires only a short visit to the dentist and you probably won't even have to be numb. We tell patients in our office to take the medication they would normally take for a headache after their appointment to minimize any discomfort. If your gum tissues are sore from receiving the anesthetic, try swishing with warm salt water (1 teaspoon of salt in 4 ounces of warm water) several times a day. Some patients will have pain in the jaw joint from holding their mouth open for an extended period of time during the appointment. Try a moist heat compress, using a warm washcloth, and place it on the joint for 20 minutes. Not too hot, so you don't burn yourself. If the pain persists, call your dentist for an evaluation.
Reply:It might help if you brushed with a toothpaste for sensitive teeth, like Sensodyne for awhile then go back to your regular, since your teeth are usually sensitive after dental work.
