Toothache after fillings?

I got 4 fillings in my teeth (I know, it's really bad) almost a month ago and 2 of them are totally fine, but the other 2 still hurt.





One of them doesn't hurt too bad, it's a little bit sore if I chew on it, but I think it's getting better. The other one hurts quite a lot though and it seems to be sore more of the time.......what's wrong with it?





I think all of the fillings were quite big, if I look in my mouth they cover a lot of the top of the tooth, the one that hurts the most is the biggest.





Will it get better? Or will I have to go back to the dentist? And what will he have to do? Will he have to pull it out? I'm really scared!!! I'm only 15 years old, these were my first ever fillings.

If you want to stop tooth pain and put your dentist out of business forever, the remedy is very simple. No, it's not clove oil, or lavendar tincture, or anything else. Rather, it comes in a brown plastic bottle, costs as little as a $1.50 for 16 ounces, and has been found in nearly every household for a hundred years:





Hydrogen Peroxide. Take a mouthful and hold it in ur mouth for as long as you can---particularly around the sore tooth if you can and then spit it out. Do this a few times a day for two or three days at most and the toothache will be gone--forever. If you continue to do it as a daily routine, you'll also notice that your gums stop receding and actually build back up, your teeth get whiter, your mouth feels fresher and you don't get any cavities anymore. Hydrogen Peroxide laughs at bacteria and then kicks the hell out of it. You'd hear far more about it if the established medical community could make money off of it, but they can't. It cannot be patented and is hopelessly inexpensive to produce. Plus, if you also use it in your ears as well as a mouth rinse/gargle, you'll rarely get sick, if ever, and will rarely have allergies if you suffer from them. The bubbling in your mouth, ears etc. is the Hydrogen Peroxide breaking down into Oxygen--bacteria's No. 1 enemy. If any of you have children, and they start feeling ill, put a capful in their ears--bye bye flu, cold etc. It's powerful stuff.
Reply:I think you sould go back to the dentist just to get them checked again, you may have an infection or it could be nothing, but get it checked out
Reply:It will get better. The last filling I had hurt intermittently for weeks and when I had a cold it really hurt as my sinuses were pressing on it. Its better now.
Reply:I was a dental assisstant for 3 years. Sometimes if they cavity was there too long it may have spread which means it could need a root canal. I would go back and tell him. Is it sensitive to hot? cold? sweets? I fyou don't go back it will get swollen and hurt a lot more
Reply:I am not a dentist but I do know that if afilling is too large and ther is presure on it when you bite it may ned to be sanded off more if that is the case they can do that you bite on the carbon and make sure there is no other bite problems with the filling---Hopefully then you will stop having pain ---Just a thought ---Good luck!
Reply:Since it your first fillings,then it could be sore due to your teeth never having them before. When I first got mine, they were sore for a while. But lay off the one that is sore, it would get better in no time.


First time is always the scarest time. But you get use to it. But if it still hurts then go back to the dentist and get it check out.

My sister's dentist almost killed her a couple of months ago. It was for a number of OTHER reasons but for your sake if it is not all OK then it should be done properly.





I don't think it will be a big job either. Fillings are so common for dentist to do.





Tell the dentist that you are nervous and then they should be gentle with you.


I hate the dentist also. Only evil people become dentist.
Reply:Call your dentists office and tell them your problem, see if they reccommend you coming in. My mom just had a filling done a couple of weeks ago, causes her pain, now she has to go see an oral surgeon for the same tooth that was worked on, she is full of infection and in alot of pain. Just to be safe call them.
Reply:It is normal for your teeth to be sensitive after fillings, to a degree. If your teeth develop a lingering sensitivity to hot or cold food/liquids, begin to ache in the night and wake you up, extremely sensitive to chewing or pressure it is likely that you will need a root canal, these symptoms point in that direction. Following the root canal you will need a crown, if these are molars. The first thing you need to do is return to your dentist and let him check it out. He has a record of how deep the fillings were and if he thought they may need a root canal or further treatment. Good Luck!!!!
Reply:I think you should probably go back to your dentist Cara. I don't want to scare you, but I had a very similar thing, I had a really big filling put in a tooth about 5 weeks ago and I started to get a toothache in it again over the weekend. I went to the dentist and I had to get a root canal in the tooth, which is like a really deep filling where they get rid of the nerve as well.
Reply:there maybe an infection in ur filling that happened to my brother alot bu u should talk to ur dentist about that cuase thay shouldent still be hurting

Toothaches are a sign that there may be more to worry about then just a little pain. The causes of toothache are several but the major causes are, dental cavity, a cracked tooth, exposed tooth root, gum disease, disease of the jaw joint or spasms of the muscles used for chewing. It is possible for the cause of a toothache to originate from an entirely different problem such as heart attack or angina but this is quite rare. It can be noted however that some patients suffering angina will show toothache or jaw pain as the only symptoms so it is always best to let your dentist or doctor evaluate you.
