About kids fillings.?

Hi i have 4 kids ageing from 14 to 9 and until yesterday none of them have ever needed fillings , went to their checkup and the dentist said if my son who is 10 doesnt start brushing his teeth properly he will have to have a filling , do they numb kids gum before they stick them with the injection to numb the tooth ?x

About kids fillings.?
Hi Lorraine. Yes they do - I had a few when I was young - and loads as I got older. When my husband used to go to the dentist they would squirt the anasthetic from the needle onto the gum first so that the needle doesn't really hurt when it is going in. You could ask the dentist if he would do that for them. I never had it and the needle always hurt me. When I was 6 I broke my new front teeth and had to have extensive work every two weeks so I just had to put up with whatever the dentist threw at me. I have had so much dental work in my life it is unbelievable, bt I blame a lot of that (later on) on having bulimia. I only got scared of the dentist a few months ago when I had that horrendous extraction, but I changed recently to another one who is fantastic and the fear is gone. I had another extraction about a month after by the new one and I was so relieved that he got it out so effortlessly that I cried with happiness in his chair. I didn't even feel his injection - maybe he had squirted my gum first. I would ask because whatever he did was great and if it makes it easier for the kids it is well worth it. A kind, gentle dentist makes all the difference. I hope all goes well.

The dog is a girl called Millie. My husband says we can have her on a trial and if she is ok we can keep her (I'm sure she will be). HOORAY!!!!!! I just hope that Lorraine doesn't change her mind. It is my friend who knows her, not me, but she only said she is PROBABLY giving her away. Knowing my luck it will all fall through. I have been bribing hubby like mad (lie-ins, letting him go to poker instead of me etc.) so we'd better get her now.
Reply:erm im not sure they can...lol.....
Reply:you should ask the dentist that you take them to if they do or not and if they don't== take your child by the hand and run!
Reply:They do, but it's just like Orajel. You can still feel the shot and it is still painful! :/
Reply:Yes they do! My sister had to get them!

Tell Him it is not sweat!

She said it didn't hert at all!
