Alternatives to fillings?

are their alterntaives to fillings?

Alternatives to fillings?
I'm not tooo sure to be honest, but filling's don't hurt at all . . I've had about a billion of them and you will be fine - you're mouth will just tingle afterwards becasue of the freezing.

the needle doesn't hurt one bit either. Just close your eyes and you will be okay :)
Reply:Nope, not that I know of!!

Unless you want to get them pulled, and go for dentures at some point.
Reply:Besides pulling teeth?.... No there is no alternative, you can prevent them by flossing, brushing and getting enough flouroride and less sweets, but sometimes genetics play a big role.

My advice.

Have them fixed as soon as they tell you you need a filling, if you wait you can end up having root canals down the line and usually a root canal needs a post a buil up and a crown and that is not less than $2,000.00

Have them fixed fillings are a lot less invasive and unexpensive too.
Reply:no theres not.

there are choices in fillings though

you can get

silver fillings (amalgam)

white fillings (porcelain)

gold fillings (real gold)

silver fillings are the nastiest. you can get mercury poison if not mixed right and its not as pleasing to see everytime you brush or when your with your friends

white fillings are the easiest on the eye but not as durable. theyre good for small cavities but if you have a big cavity dont get the white ones.

gold fillings have the disadvantage of silver, as they are also detectable to the naked eye. but then its gold, and who doest like gold. its durable and can fit in any situation. its the most expensive and it takes 2 appts to get
