Taking an MRI scan with my tooth fillings that look rather metal to me.?

I am taking an MRI scan tomorrow and I have six tooth fillings in total that look metal to me. I was told that metal objects are not allowed during the scan but my tooth fillings are are allowed. The MRI technician I spoke to said that tooth fillings don't contain metal parts, on contrary they look metal to me. What's the trick?

No trick, most fillings are silver amalgam. This is a heavy metal.

It will not interfere with the MRI. They just don't want you to bring in your cell phone or wear rings, watches or ear rings or partial dentures which will interfere with the MRI.
