Teeth Fillings Help?????
I am a dentist. The fillings are probably white right? There are two things that could be wrong. The most likely is that the fillings are a little too high, meaning your bite is off by a few millimeters and when you close your mouth this is the first tooth that you hit. This can cause tooth sensitivity to hot and cold and especially pain while biting. Just ask your dentist to check the fillings. The other less likely thing to happen is that the filling is not completely sealed or that the filling was very deep, near the nerve and that is why you are sensitive. Call you dentist to have them check it out. It shouldn't be bothering you.
Reply:see your dentist he can offer the right advice the first time
Reply:sounds like "postoperative sensitivity". google it.
Reply:You just had "surgery" on your teeth...tooth sensitivity is normal at this stage. it takes awhile for your tooth and surrounding structures to get used to the new foreign object in your mouth. If the sensitivity continues more than a week or so, I recommend going back to the office and have the Dentist check to see if the filling is too high.
