Colored fillings?

do dentists now have colored fillings for cavities... like white instead of the normal silver?

We have tooth colored restorations that will match pretty much any shade of tooth. These are called bonded composites. While they are excellent for fairly small to medium restorations, they tend to wear when used on the chewing surface of back teeth when they are large. On large back fillings you are better off with silver amalgams or gold.
Reply:well at my dentist office like many others they have white fillings.
Reply:yeah. but they often break and u will have to get them done over. so if i were you i would just get normal colored.
