Delayed pain from dental fillings??

I had 3 fillings put in about 2 1/2 weeks ago and felt no pain this entire time. However, last night..within minutes, the pain just kicked in and it was excruciating throbbing pains. I also have a fairly bad head cold and was wondering if the sinus pressure is causing the fillings or teeth to be sore. I just happened to get a head cold 24 hours before the pain kicked in. Can anyone help me? Perhaps a dentist or hygienist if possible.

Delayed pain from dental fillings??
Well it sounds like one of two things. First thing is you could be developing an abscess on one of the teeth. This is an infection at the tip of the root. Symptoms are biting pressure/pain, throbbing, sensitive to hot things, hurts more when you lay down. These can pop up if you had large fillings placed. Or number two. If you are having sinus problems, it could be nothing. Your sinus can run right over your tooth/teeth roots and this will mimic a toothache. But it will feel like just a tooth ach, with none of the probleems mentioned above like the abcess.
Reply:Yes the headcold causing pressure on the sinuses could be the cause.

Also its normal to experience some pain after fillings, tho not excruiating.I would consider returning to dentist tomorrow if no improvement
