How do I have my mercury filling replaced with non mental filling? I always have a metallic taste in my mouth. I have two large metal fillings. What do I need to do? I am on a low income and cannot afford expensive dental treatment? I am sure that they are poisoning me.
Mental fillings removal?
you have more chance of mercury poisioning from a tin of tuna then amalgam fillings white or composite fillings are not so great in back teeth as there is a greater risk of micro shrinkish silver fillings are much stronger for back teeth and are the best option so if your fillings dont need replacing leave weel alone
Reply:You have made me smile with your 'mental' fillings!!
The silver fillings have a limited lifespan - are you registered with an NHS dentist?? If so, you will only pay the amount for 1 treatment, but if you are on a means-tested benefit I think it may be free.
Check it out with your dentist.
Reply:the best would be to find a wholistic dentist. I know it is more expensive or check out
Reply:Mental fillings?
You'll probably have to put for ceramic fillings to replace the amalgam ones. And you also need to think about having them removed, whether that would also lead you to ingesting any mercury.
You are also very unlikely to get mercury poisoning from your fillings. It is not absorbed very well in the gut if you happen to swallow any.
Reply:It is easy to remove amalgam fillings, but to replace them with white fillings can be expensive and if they are covering big holes in your teeth white filling material may not be strong enough
